Smokey Burger Patty with Potato Wedges

Ingredients:


Plant based burger patty 

4 burger buns

4 lettuce leaves

4 tomato slices

4 red onion slices

4 pickle slices

4 tablespoons vegan mayonnaise

4 tablespoons barbecue sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

 

For the Potato Wedges:

4 large potatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

 

Instructions:


  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  • Prepare the plant-based burger patty according to the package instructions. Set aside.
  • Wash the potatoes thoroughly and cut them into wedges.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss the potato wedges in the mixture until evenly coated.
  • Place the potato wedges on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • While the potato wedges are baking, prepare the burger toppings. Wash and dry the lettuce leaves, tomato slices, red onion slices, and pickle slices.
  • Lightly toast the burger buns if desired.
  • Spread vegan mayonnaise on the bottom half of each burger bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the mayo.
  • Place the cooked plant-based burger patty on top of the lettuce. Spoon barbecue sauce over the patty.
  • Add a tomato slice, red onion slice, and pickle slice on top of the barbecue sauce.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste over the toppings.
  • Close the burger with the top half of the bun.
  • Remove the potato wedges from the oven when they are crispy and golden brown.
  • Serve the smoky plant-based burger patties with a side of crispy potato wedges.
